Kat Kohler, LMT

Kat Kohler is a graduate from SHI Integrative Medical Massage School and has always had a passion for alternative healing. In college, she focussed on creating healing spaces while studying Landscape Architecture at Rutgers in 2010. In 2014 she made the switch to pursue a hands on approach to healing, specializing in corrective exercise through personal training which led to additional certifications in Functional Range Conditioning, Postural Alignment Therapy, Muscle Activation Technique Specialist Certification, and integrative medical massage school.

At SHI she learned Muscle Energy Techniques, Craneosacral 10 Step Protocol, TMJ treatments, and is currently pursuing certifications in Precision Neuromuscular Therapy and Active Release Technique.

The excitement of discovery and the joy of helping others are what drive her constant learning and testing of new nutritional and movement information on herself before offering recommendations to her clients.

Kat has had great success using this integrative approach to help many people suffering from PTSD, concussions, chronic pain, stroke recovery, nerve pain, shoulder injuries, strained and partially torn achilles, migraines, TMJ, fibromyalgia, Ehlers–Danlos syndrome (eds), poor balance, and sports injuries in both youth and adult athletes.

Kat is a former DIV I NCAA Fencer and has completed several triathlons. She is also an avid foodie and who loves martial arts, travel, hiking and sketching.
