About Andy Shetterly and Peak Performance Sports Therapy
Andy Shetterly, grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1978. He joined the United States Marine Corps and progressed through Officer Candidate School and Naval Flight Training, to earn the Wings of Gold in 1982. While stationed at Marine Corps Air Station El Toro as a C-130 pilot, he began to study various modalities of massage therapy and bodywork, always with the focus of how best to most effectively help people out of pain and increase their level of performance.
After years in the aviation industry and helping others relieve their pain on his off days, he has now dedicated 100% of his attention on helping people in pain reach their optimal sports performance. “Nothing brings me more satisfaction then helping someone significantly reduce their level of pain or assisting an athlete perform at their highest level.”
He has been blessed to have learned from some of the most accomplished soft tissue experts, probably in the world. And now takes what he has learned from these wonderful teachers, to help you reduce your pain and increase your quality of life!
Andy is certified in Active Release Techniques – ART, the Titleist Performance Institute and is affiliated with the American Massage Therapy Association.
When not helping others Andy enjoys running, swimming, cycling, road and mountain biking, snowboarding and spending time with his wife Cindy and daughter Mihkayla.
“Life is too short to take yourself too seriously. I enjoy life with a purpose. I love my job, and am extremely grateful that my profession allows me to bring happiness to the world on a daily basis.”
